Green wall above floor level with enclosed front – drainage
Vertical garden above floor level with enclosed front
Green wall, installed in this manner, features a structure mounted above the floor with an enclosed front. In this case, the drainage can be installed at any height between the floor and the lower part of the vertical garden. This is made possible by the front, which conceals the drainage outlet, regardless of its placement.

Construction schematics
Images depicting schematics of a vertical garden installed above floor level with an enclosed front. The drainage outlet should be positioned at the same height as or below the water collection gutter of the vertical garden.
Similar to other green walls, it is recommended to use a drainage pipe with a diameter of 50mm. Remember to incorporate a siphon in the drainage system.
Placement of the garden with connections
Drainage outlet should be positioned as close to the center of the green wall as possible. If this construction is not feasible, the drainage can be shifted to the left or right within the garden. However, it should not come closer than 10 centimeters from the edge of the garden, nor extend beyond its outline.
It’s important to ensure that the drainage pipe does not protrude beyond the planned enclosure of the vertical garden.
