Vertical garden mounted from floor level – drainage
Vertical garden at floor level
A green wall mounted in this way should have drainage flushed with the floor. The top of the drainage cup is then at the same level as the bottom of the garden. This allows for the easy drainage of water from the collecting gutter installed at the bottom of the garden into the drainage system.

Construction schematics
Images depict a vertical garden mounted at floor level. Typically, drainage is made using a pipe with a diameter of 32 or 50. For green walls, it is recommended to use a drainage pipe with a diameter of 50. Remember to install a siphon in the drain.
Placement of the garden with connections
It is important that the drainage is located as close to the center of the green wall as possible. In case such placement is not possible, the drain can be shifted to the left or right side. However, it should not be closer than 10 centimeters from the edge of the garden.
The distance of the sewage pipe from the wall on which the garden is built is also crucial. The depth of the system is 7 centimeters, so the drainage cannot protrude more than 7 centimeters from the wall. Otherwise, the drainage may extend beyond the green wall system.
