Connections for a living wall with a water tank

Elements for creating an installation of a green wall with an irrigation tank

  1. 230 V socket for powering the pump
  2. Lighting – to illuminate the wall

1. Electrical connection – 230 V socket

An electrical socket of 230 V is essential for powering the garden irrigation pump. Placed in the tank beneath the green wall, it requires the installation of an electrical socket as close to the garden as possible. The water tank is concealed.

2. Plant illumination

The green wall requires artificial lighting. To illuminate the plants, lamps with light similar to natural light are needed.

The minimum acceptable light intensity directed at one square meter of the plant wall is 800 lux. This lighting should have a spectrum that aids plants in the process of photosynthesis. Lamps with a color temperature of 4000K, a color rendering index (CRI) of at least 90, and a luminous flux of 4000 lumens are suitable for illuminating plants on the green wall. More important information about lighting can also be found in the section on vertical garden lighting.
